Biography
Akhtar Hussain, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Laval University, Quebec. His research interests include the operation and control of power and energy systems, with a special focus on AI-based optimal operation, energy management, consumer satisfaction, resource allocation, and the integration of distributed energy resources. He has been actively involved in several projects related to resilience enhancement strategies for microgrids and the use of electric vehicles for resilience and reliability as a service.
